Alan Edwards

Alan E. Edwards is Senior Director, Americas Product Group, Scientific for Kelly Services, Inc., (NASDAQ: KELYA, KELYB), a leader in providing workforce solutions. 

Mr. Edwards oversees the Americas operations of Kelly Scientific Resources (KSR), a specialty service of Kelly Services. Since its launch in 1995, KSR has provided staffing and placement services to a broad spectrum of industries, including biotechnology, chemical, consumer products, cosmetics, environmental, food sciences, medical/clinical, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical. Today, KSR leads the world in dedicated scientific and clinical research staffing.

Mr. Edwards has more than 25 years of experience in the life sciences, health care and technology industries. Prior to joining Kelly, for the past seven years he served as Principal/President of independent consulting services where he led executive management and brand/product consulting to the life sciences industry.

Mr. Edwards also has 10 years of experience at Merck in a variety of executive management roles including President Merck Biosciences, President CN Biosciences, VP of Marketing – North America (EM Science), and VP of Sales and Marketing - Laboratory Products. While at Merck, he successfully implemented several key initiatives that resulted in Merck Biosciences becoming the second fastest growing life science product company in the industry.

From 1985 to 1992, Mr. Edwards served as Vice President/Owner of an immunology, medical devices, and diagnostics firm, Woodlyn Laboratories. He started his career in 1981 as Operations Manager for Canadian Medical Laboratories in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Edwards holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Life Science Information Technology Global Institute.
