Benny Chien

Benny Chien, M.D., J.D., served as a corporate counsel for Pfizer La Jolla handling technology licensing, intellectual property, research collaborations, and strategic partnerships. Prior to that he was Director of Contracting and Legal Liaison for UCSD School of Medicine and handled clinical trial and research agreements on behalf of the University. His experience in academic medicine and the pharmaceutical industry gives him special knowledge of the interface between law, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, he has also expertise as a trial lawyer, physician, and entrepreneur.

He currently is working as a consultant in technology law and is available to assist companies in building their technology into a viable business.
