Beth Kennedy

Research Informatics Site Head, Pfizer La Jolla Laboratories

Beth Kennedy is Executive Director of Pfizer Global Research and Development and US West Informatics and Research Informatics site head for La Jolla Laboratories. Beth is responsible for informatics activities (research, development and business) for all Pfizer engagements in the western region of the United States. Beth joined Pfizer in June 2006.

Beth has over 25 years experience in applying information management solutions and technologies to life sciences R&D.

Beth received her B.A. from Vassar College. She worked for 12 years at Roche Bio Science (formerly know as Syntex Corporation). She managed a variety of internal applications and software groups for internal research and development organizations. At Roche, Beth’s organization worked on several software collaborations (Oracle, Index, CSC) that resulted in commercial software products.

After Roche, Beth spent the 11 years working for life science start ups. Among the companies Beth worked for were Incyte Pharmaceuticals, BioSpace and Entelos. Beth held senior management positions working on novel ways to apply information technologies to advance the research target and drug discovery process.
