Cedric Armstrong, Ph.D.

Cedric Armstrong is the Chief Risk Officer of Abnology Corporation, in San Diego, California. He is involved in assisting corporate clients in risk assessments, information management, disaster recovery planning and internal audit related to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and other internal audit projects. His clients are in the pharmaceutical, financial, high-technology and manufacturing industries.
Cedric has more than 38 years of experience in the areas of IT project management, system architecture, e-Business and information security. Prior to Resources Global Professionals, he worked at Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Covansys Corporation, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and other companies. He was also President and CEO of Tridex Systems Inc., a company developing high- speed, fault-tolerant, computer systems for the Canadian Department of National Defense.
He has been an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio and an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He also developed and taught courses in systems design, programming languages, and project management for the Ontario Centre of Microelectronics.
Cedric received his B.Sc.(Hons.) in Pure Mathematics from the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia, his M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of London in England, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He is a CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional, a CISA (Certified Information Security Auditor) and a CTGA (Certified TG-3 Network Auditor to the ATM and POS terminal industry).
