John F. Murray

John F. Murray Jr. currently serves as the medical device software compliance expert at the United States Food and Drug Administration. Mr. Murray provides senior management and FDA staff with expert advice and opinion for compliance issues related to software and computer systems. He plays a primary role in the preparation and publishing of software & computer related regulations, guidances and standards. John also serves on the FDA Part 11 Committee and he is the current chair of the CDRH Software Standards Group as well as the AAMI Software Committee. Prior to joining the FDA in 1994 he served with the United States Navy Submarine Service, Telex Computer Products, the General Dynamics Corporation and Technology Management and Analysis. Mr. Murray received his BS in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University and his MS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
