About Volunteering with LSIT

Here is how it all works in a nutshell:

  1. Based on your interests and experience, as a volunteer, you are matched to the appropriate working group, which is dedicated to working on one chapter of the GIP content. Here are some possible roles to take on as a volunteer at LSIT:
    • Working Group Leader
    • Subject Matter Expert
    • Principal Researcher
    • Researcher
    • Contributor
    • Editor
    • Technical Editor
    • Technical Writer
    • Proofreader
  2. A liason will be your point of contact in guiding you through your experience in the working group. This liason will work together with you to determine your role and match you to your working group, introduce you to the group members and monitor your status.
  3. Once inside a working group, the project manager will first debrief you on the status of the working group, the upcoming milestones and goals, and work with you to define your responsibilities.
